Jérôme Mullmaier, partner, is a member of the Investment Management Practice Group in our Luxembourg office and an active member of the firm Private Equity/ Funds sector team. His practice covers the structuring, formation and operations of private funds across a variety of asset classes. He also advises private investment fund sponsors on the regulatory aspects relating to the structuring of alternative funds.
Jérôme advises global asset managers on the formation and operations of private alternative funds (AIFs). This includes the structuring, launch and fundraising activity of private funds across a wide range of strategies including private equity, infrastructure, private debt and real estate. He routinely assists fund sponsors and institutional investors with the negotiation of private fund terms and is also highly experienced with the formation of managed accounts and co-investment vehicles. Alongside fund formation, he regularly advises private fund sponsors on a range of EU and Luxembourg regulatory matters arising within the private investment funds industry.
Based in our Luxembourg office, Jérôme also worked at the London office where he gained broad international experience and advised UK based clients on matters related to Luxembourg alternative funds.
Within the Luxembourg Private Equity Association (LPEA), Jérôme serves as co-chair of the Private Funds Committee, while also maintaining active membership in the Luxembourg fund association (ALFI). He has authored many articles covering fund formation and associated regulatory aspects. He notably contributed to the writing of “The Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive”, International Banking and Finance Law Series, Wolters Kluwer.
