Nicolas Bertrand is a partner in our Brussels office. He co-heads the Loyens & Loeff Family Owned Business & Private Wealth Practice Group in Belgium.
Nicolas has intensive experience in assisting companies and family-owned businesses on strategic and complex issues in Belgian and international tax matters such as corporate restructurings, holding and investment structures.
He is recognised for his particular expertise in fund structuring, where he assists Belgian and foreign investment funds, in particular active in the fields of Private Equity and Venture Capital, on fund formation and management participation.
Nicolas also regularly advises family-offices and UHNWI on the structuring of their investments, both from a corporate tax and income tax perspective, as well as on wealth structuring and the (fiscal) consequences of immigration and emigration.
Nicolas has also gained considerable experience in tax audits and tax disputes including negotiating settlements.
Nicolas is currently a member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA).
