The current regulatory landscape in the sustainable finance and environmental, social and governance (ESG) field is, and will continue to be, challenging due to the significant amount of regulatory developments. The EU Commission has launched a number of initiatives and amendments which are crucial for fund managers as they implement the ESG regulatory framework in their business and operations, highlighting the importance of staying well-informed. The Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) has massively impacted the financial markets regulations and prove challenging for market players to grasp and apply its requirements, especially since the different consultatory authorities and regulators (The ESAs, the CSSF…) are pushing for further amendments and state specific priorities when it comes to sustainable finance.
