On 1 January 2022, the Swiss Code of Obligations will be complemented with new provisions in relation to general non-financial reporting as well as specific due diligence and reporting obligations regarding minerals and metals from conflict areas and child labour.
During the legal trainings, Marco and Valérie provided an overview on the existing ESG regulations in Switzerland and the EU law regulations as well as the differences between the NFRD, CSRD and provisions of the Swiss Code of Obligations. Topic such as  the statutory due diligence obligations and how to comply with them in practice in case of conflict with profitability considerations were also addressed.
