Loyens & Loeff was honoured with the following accolades:

  • Talent & Development Leader of the Year (awarded to Myrthe Uittenbogaard)
  • Age Inclusion Initiative of the Year
  • Professional Development Programme of the Year

The awards ceremony, which took place on 12 September, saw hundreds of submissions from Tier 1 firms across continental Europe.

The judging panel was particularly impressed by Myrthe Uittenbogaard’s integration of personal development into the Lawyers Academy, her emphasis on the human factor in lawyering, and her dedication to fostering young professionals’ growth into confident and compassionate individuals. Additionally, Loyens & Loeff’s Young Board initiative, which comprises 27 members under the age of 35 from diverse roles across the firm’s home markets, was praised for integrating the perspectives of the younger generation on Diversity & Inclusion, Talent Development, Sustainability, and Tech & Innovation into the firm’s strategic direction.

Furthermore, the firm’s “Fly on the Wall” programme received commendation for its effectiveness in promoting transparency and equitable treatment. In this programme, trained partners observe meetings to identify and address biases, fostering a culture of fairness in both formal and informal decision-making processes.

The awards ceremony provided an invaluable opportunity for firms to share best practices and network with peers who are driving cultural change in the legal industry. Loyens & Loeff’s success at the event underscores its role as a leader in social impact and innovation within the legal sector.
