We are delighted to have acted as lead legal counsel to AG Insurance on their acquisition of  an important minority stake in a company controlled by Energy Infrastructure Partners (EIP), in turn holding an 80% stake in the 474MW Nysäter onshore wind farm in northern Sweden.

Nysäter is one of the largest onshore wind farms in Europe and has been fully operational since June 2022.

The asset is underpinned by a pay-as-produced PPA and benefits from a long-term management agreement with RWE, who remain a 20% shareholder.

EIP will remain the majority shareholder for the duration of the asset’s life, in line with its long-term investment strategy.
