The assignment

Loyens & Loeff was instructed by the developer to advise on different aspects of the project. These included the restructuring of the ownership to fit the new project and the conclusion & implementation of a contracting and transaction structure with the investor on a turnkey, forward funding base.

COD Development Pioneers and DUQER are currently developing the “SPOT”. The project entails the demolishment of existing office buildings and the development and construction of more than 1,000 apartments and 17,000 square meter office and commercial space, as well as an underground parking, divided over multiple buildings.

This makes “SPOT” one of the largest developments in Amsterdam at its time. The project combines living and working in a vibrant community, marking the transition of the Amstel III district from a mono-function office district into a mixed use area.

Approximately 800 of the apartments, as well as the commercial functions and the majority of the underground parking spaces, have been sold to prime investor Amvest, for the benefit of AEGON. View the project here.
