Mick Knops, tax adviser, is a member of the International Tax Services practice group in our Amsterdam office. He focuses on Dutch and international tax matters for clients in the energy sector and is a member of the Energy team.
Mick specializes in Dutch and international corporate tax law. He predominantly advises clients across the energy sector, ranging from large conventional energy and E&P companies to small renewable energy start-ups. Mick advises on both domestic and cross-border restructuring and refinancing, joint ventures, and mergers and acquisitions. He also specializes in environmental and energy-related levies and taxes, such as the Dutch State Profit Share, Energy Tax and Water Tax.
Mick is a permanent contributor to FED, a weekly tax case law journal and to NDFR, an encyclopedic work on Dutch tax legislation. Mick also regularly publishes in academic literature.
