Angelo specialises in energy law, focusing on both the regulatory and transactional aspects of energy law and energy projects. In the past, he worked as a legal advisor at the Department of Mobility and Public Works and later wrote a doctoral thesis on the legal framework for the connection, interconnection, and transmission of Belgian offshore wind farms. This allowed him to gain in-depth knowledge of energy law and the (offshore) energy sector in general.

In addition to being a lawyer, Angelo is also a researcher/lecturer at the University of Ghent, a member of the Centre for Environmental and Energy Law at the University of Ghent, and a member of the ENERLEX research network.

He holds a bachelor's degree in business management, a master's degree in law, and a Master of Science in Maritime Sciences.
