Nikki Oetomo, attorney-at-law, specialises in advising national and multinational companies on matters of pension- and employment law (including pension implications in mergers and acquisitions). She also advises and represents clients in court or before regulators in high-profile pension cases involving multinational companies, industry-wide pension funds and/or insurers.
Nikki also gained experience in advising and representing our clients in a wide variety of legal proceedings, such as complex international commercial and corporate disputes before regular (state) courts as well as (international) arbitral tribunals. Prior to stepping into the pension field, she mainly focused on international arbitration and commercial litigation.
Recent cases in which Nikki assisted our clients include:
- The Euronext-case in which the different and separate responsibilities of employers and pension funds were established by the Dutch Supreme Court;
- Emergency summary proceedings on the Dutch Future Pensions Act in which she advised and represented industry-wide pension funds before the court;
- Legal proceedings up to the Dutch Supreme Court on the rights and obligations of companies (employers) upon termination of administration agreements with company pension funds;
- Legal proceedings and advice on investment policies in pension cases.
