Romy Menasalvas Garrones, attorney-at-law, is a member of the Litigation & Risk Management practice group in our Amsterdam office. She focuses on corporate law, including corporate governance, corporate litigation and arbitration.
Romy advises and represents Dutch and international clients in high profile disputes. Her areas of expertise include post-M&A, corporate governance, corporate litigation and arbitration, contractual disputes and restructuring litigation.
Prior to joining the Litigation & Risk Management practice group, Romy worked in Loyens & Loeff’s Corporate practice group, advising on national and cross-border M&A transactions.
Recent matters that Romy has worked on include representing:
• a specialty chemicals multinational in an arbitration with a partner in the Rotterdam Port under the NAI rules
• a security agent in summary proceedings before the Netherlands Commercial Court in a dispute about the transfer of (pledged) shares in a large internationally operating shipbuilder
• the shareholders of a large accountancy firm in a conflict with the supervisory board members including proceedings at the Enterprise Chamber
• a market leading group active in the online food ordering and delivery business in an arbitration with its shareholders under the ICC rules
